Welcome to Melon Island! This website is dedicated to the wonderful world of melons. For your convenience, the articles on Melon Island are divided three main sections:
- The Melon Reference - A small and slowly growing collection of pages dealing with specific cucurbits, mostly the well-known fruit like watermelon, cantaloupe, and honeydew.
- Completely Useless but Interesting Facts - The name says it all - miscellaneous facts about the cucurbitaceae that are interesting but of no practical use.
- Cucurbitaceous Craziness - A recreational portion of Melon Island - the content is not factual, but it's good for a laugh or two.

September 28, 2005:
New page. More are rotting on my hard disk and will be posted when I have a chance to polish them up.
I was kinda aware of the disrepair the site had fallen into
(such as the broken "contact us" link over there - if you've been wanting to contact me, try to guess my e-mail address; chances are you'll guess correctly), but I was too lazy to do anything about it until I saw a holiday logo being displayed for a holiday from
last year. So I fixed it and posted a page that was supposed to be up before July, and now I'm back.
I'm seriously considering a redesign of this site. At the very least, I need to clean up the markup code. The new design will aim to be less cluttered, minimalistic, and generally easier to look at and use. At the moment, though, I'm really busy. Thus it'll probably be a while before I can get any redesigning done.
Oh, yeah... as you can probably tell by now, the host move was successful.
February 5, 2005:
Melon Island will be moving hosts shortly, and things here and there may break if I screw something up. I've taken down the contact form temporarily. If you need to send me something at this time, you can probably guess my e-mail address.
January 1, 2005:
Happy New Year, all! A bit more reorganization has occurred, with some stuff being moved to the
Archives. Also, thanks to the continual requests of some people, I've finally added a list of the holiday logos. Since it was convenient for me, I put that in the Archives too.
