Here is our page on fighting spam. By now you probably know what spam is, so we won't go on rambling about how it's such a detriment to Internet society or anything. We're here to tell you how to prevent yourself from being a victim, to tell you how to fight spam. There are countless pages like this one out there on the web. You may want to have a look at them when you're done with this. Links to pages with more specific tips are shown below.
You might think that we have sent you spam. Realize that identifying information over the Internet can be spoofed, or faked. We do not send spam! Spammers may be pretending to be us when they send spam from another server. They may also actually be illegally using our server to send spam by means of security loopholes. We are constantly probing our own website for vulnerabilities for the sake of protecting ourselves. If a spammer is faking his or her address by using another website's server, you should not contact us, but you should instead trace the e-mail to the server it actually came from. Contact the owner of the server and him/her about the problem nicely. Chances are that they weren't even aware it was happening!
We hope this helps. If you still have questions, feel free to contact us. (I am no longer reading mail sent to spamcollector@melonisland.net - the address has lived up to its name a bit too well.)
